Brigade Gateway

Master Planned by HOK, NY, this 40-acre composite development has a large man-made lake that acts as an anchor to the Orion Mall, WTC tower, Sheraton Hotel and the residential blocks surrounding it. The lake and the area immediately around it have been designed as a contemporary urban public space. Orion Mall opens out into a plaza with an amphitheatre at one end, an interactive fountain, a boardwalk lining the lakeside, and two dramatic water features pouring out into the lake. The WTC Tower opens out into a curvilinear lakeside promenade punctuated by shade structures meant to be relaxing break-out spaces. The residential block spills out into a series of waterfront promenades. A large water screen signals the entry into the Sheraton Hotel and provides a separation between the hotel and the more public spaces on the site. The hotel houses a dramatic infinity pool on its terrace.
