Milroc Kadamba

Milroc Kadamba is a low rise housing project near Panjim, Goa. The buildings were designed around a series of large courts. An old laterite quarry overgrown with native vegetation was spread across two courts. Our design revolved around sensitively working with the quarry, retaining all the native trees and connecting the two courts with a tunnel under the buildings. An elaborate storm water management and harvesting system was designed through the sunken quarries to achieve a considerable level of sustainability. Judicious use of native and tropical plants created a natural setting.
