Vista Do Mar

Vista Do Mar is an exclusive 13-acre seafront vacation home development set in a picturesque location in Goa, built on a very steep slope, with stunning views of the Arabian Sea, the Mandovi river and the Goan coastline. The villas overlook the central space but also further out into the sea. The landscaped spaces were designed to provide a sense of privacy while preserving the drama of open vistas and panoramic views. The steep slopes were creatively used to provide an experience of a lively central area towards the bottom morphing into a more tranquil area at the top. The central congregational space is anchored by a freeform pool with a walk-in entry that mimics the experience of entering a beach. The pool is surrounded by exposed laterite surfaces with an amphitheatre gallery carved out of one of the steep slopes. The meditation deck and infinity pool located at the top of the site create the experience of connecting directly with the sea. Rhythmic fountains line the driveway leading to the villas. The extensive use of the red laterite rock indigenous to the area, as well as contemporary versions of the traditional Goan balusters, help capture the aesthetic of Goa.
